How Nearfaces Works

With Nearfaces, you can easily find out if your contacts are nearby—without sharing your location. When a contact is detected within a range of up to 200 meters, you’ll receive a discreet notification on your smartphone.

Patented Privacy First Technology

The Nearfaces technology for proximity detection is patented with the European and US Patent Office.

Nearfaces has developed a technology that utilises a purely phone to phone signal which can operate up to a maximum distance of 200m. This allows Nearfaces to detect nearby contacts without using GPS so that the user does not publicize their location. This also functions perfectly without a phone network or internet reception.
