• Friend connections (phone numbers from your contacts)

• Device identifiers (for Bluetooth functionality)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Friend Discovery: To detect when your friends are nearby using Bluetooth LE Beacons
• Account Management: To verify your identity and manage your account
• App Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and fix bugs
• Security: To prevent fraud and ensure app security

3. Location and Bluetooth

Location Permission: Required by iOS for Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon transmission and scanning. We do NOT track, store, or share your location data.

Scan for Nearby Devices Permission: Required by Android for Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon transmission and scanning. We do NOT track, store, or share your location data.

Bluetooth Permission: Used only for proximity detection between friends. All communications are encrypted with rotating identifiers.

4. Social Logins

Nearfaces does not use any social login functionality.

5. In-app Purchase Information

Nearfaces does not provide In-App purchases.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Service Providers: Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Safety: To prevent harm or illegal activities

7. Data Security

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Bluetooth identifiers rotate regularly for privacy
• No location data is stored or transmitted
• Friend discovery uses anonymous, encrypted signals

8. Data Retention

• Account Data: Until you delete your account
• Analytics: 90 days (anonymous)
• Crash Reports: 30 days (anonymous)

Your data shall be processed in the jurisdiction that your phone is registered where our servers are located. By using Nearfaces, you consent to this transfer.

11. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google): Used for authentication, database, and analytics. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Sentry: Used for crash reporting. Data is anonymized.
